The Need is Great – Please Donate!

Guests at our shelter receive a place to sleep and daily meals, as well as clothing, toiletries, and other essential personal care items. Your generous donations of these items help us ensure each guest’s needs are met! 

Donations can be brought to our St. Vincent de Paul Central Donation Drive-Thru  

945 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd. Dayton, OH 45417 
Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

All donations are sorted at this central location and prioritized for distribution to neighbors most in need, starting with guests in shelter. 

This new and improved central donation drive-thru will make it easier and faster for:   

• Donors to drop off gently used clothing, furniture, and household items for their neighbors in need 

• St. Vincent de Paul to accept, sort, and distribute donated items to guests in shelter and community members who are experiencing homelessness and poverty 

• Neighbors in need across the Miami Valley to receive donated items through our ministries, vouchers, or at reduced prices at the CityThrift store. 

The donation dock at the Apple St. shelter is CLOSED. We are accepting ALL in-kind donations at CityThrift. The central donation location will help us better prioritize items for neighbors in need. 

You can also purchase items from our Amazon Wish List to be directly shipped to us at no extra cost. 

 Items We Cannot Accept

While we can take and use just about anything, we encourage you to check the list of items below that we cannot accept. Although this is a fairly comprehensive list, there are always exceptions to every rule.

NOTE: We cannot accept furniture or bedding with visible rips, stains, tears or pet hairs. Would you please make sure your furniture, appliances, and household items are in clean and usable condition before donating?
