St. Vincent de Paul relies on your donations to fight poverty in Dayton. One way you can help give back to the community is by organizing a donation drive.
Four Simple Steps
Donation drives make great community service projects for corporations, schools, churches and community organizations. We provide the bins and donation receipts; you provide gently used clothes and household goods (particularly those items on our wish list). All your organization has to do is follow these four steps to help us achieve our mission:
1. Schedule
Call (937) 630-3947 with the date, time, and location of your drive. You might decide to hold your drive as an event or collect donations over a longer period.
2. Promote
Help ensure your drive’s success by promoting it in advance with fliers or posters.
3. Incentivize
Make the drive fun for all involved—think about encouraging competition through incentives like free food or prizes.
4. Appreciate
Send cards, letters or emails to participants to show thanks for their contributions.
Contact (937) 630-3947 or bherzog@stvincentdayton.org to ask any questions and get your drive started today.
