The Need is Great – Please Donate!

Our Needs List

St. Vincent de Paul shelters over 500 men, women and children every day in two 24/7 emergency shelters. Guests at our shelters receive a place to sleep and three meals daily, as well as donated clothing, toiletries, and other essential personal care items. Your generous donations of these items help us ensure each guest’s needs are met!

You can bring your donations to one of our two donation docks:

*CityThrift at 945 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd. Dayton, OH 45417
Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Dock is located at the side of the building to the left of the entrance.

*St. Vincent de Paul Shelter for Women and Families at 120 W. Apple St., Dayton, OH 45402
Items may be dropped off here 24/7. If no attendants are available, please place items in the blue bins outside.

You can also purchase items from our Amazon Wish List to be directly shipped to us at no extra cost!

Items We Do Not Accept

While we can take and use just about anything, we encourage you to check the list of items below that we cannot accept. Although this is a fairly comprehensive list, there are always exceptions to every rule.

NOTE: We cannot accept furniture or bedding with visible rips, stains, tears or pet hairs. Would you please make sure your furniture, appliances, and household items are in clean and usable condition before donating?

If you ever have any questions or need to schedule a pickup, please contact our Call Center at 937.425.0592. All donations are picked up at the discretion of the drivers. Thank You!

Our ministries and services are constantly adapting to the changing needs of our community, but one thing that never changes is our dedication to love and service.
