St. Vincent de Paul Society of Dayton Announces Angie Grilliot as New Executive Director

DAYTON, Ohio – St. Vincent de Paul Society of Dayton is pleased to announce the appointment of Angie Grilliot as its new Executive Director.

John Malas, President of the Board of Trustees, shared the following statement: “On behalf of the Dayton District Council Board of Trustees and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Dayton, I am excited to announce the selection of Angie Grilliot as our new Executive Director. Angie is exactly who we need to lead our organization into its next phase of growth, stability, and service. The Board found Angie’s significant corporate leadership experience and her impactful accomplishments as Chief of Staff at St. Vincent de Paul Dayton to be a compelling combination as we look to the future.”

Following a comprehensive and thoughtful process, the Search Committee identified Angie as uniquely qualified to lead the Society forward. Her combination of deep institutional knowledge, proven executive leadership, and demonstrated commitment to Catholic social teaching positions her exceptionally well for this role. Throughout her career, Angie has shown a consistent ability to unite people and missions across ecclesial, civic, and philanthropic settings-an essential strength for a Vincentian organization grounded in collaboration and trust.

Angie’s leadership has already strengthened relationships with Vincentian leaders, volunteers, donors, and both national and regional partners. Her capacity to listen, align, and inspire ensures continuity while advancing the Society’s strategic priorities.

As Executive Director, Angie brings a leadership style that closely reflects the Society’s mission to, with Christian purpose, accompany those in need one person at a time by focusing on shelter, food, and clothing, and its vision to improve the lives of people in need in the Miami Valley. Grounded in Vincentian values, she understands that lasting impact is built through relationships-serving families and neighbors with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Angie’s unique ability to integrate mission-driven service with organizational excellence will help ensure that the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Dayton remains a trusted presence for those in need, today and for generations to come.

Founded in 1948, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Dayton District Council is a Catholic nonprofit organization accompanying neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty across the Miami Valley. Through the work of 28 parish-based neighborhood ministries, known as Conferences, thousands of neighbors receive personal, financial, and in-kind assistance each year. Conference presidents and a community board also oversee the Special Works of the Dayton District Council, which assist neighbors in need through emergency shelter operations, supportive housing ministries, supportive services for veteran families, and the nonprofit CityThrift store and furniture bank.
